The Systems Engineer is responsible for effectiveprovisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of serversand networking equipment. This individual participates in technical researchand development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Thisindividual ensures that hardware, operating systems and related proceduresadhere to organizational values, and enabling staff. This is a full-time onsiteposition, not remote work.
Responsibilities:
oBuildand maintain physical and virtual servers, routers, switches and another ITequipment as required.
oAssistin administration of remote working functions such as RDP, VPN and AmazonWorkspace.
oMaintainMicrosoft licensing for shared applications and remote access systems.
oMonitorand maintain network health. Review and implement improvements to networkrouting structure.
oAssistin development of documented standardized work practices and procedures.
oWorkin a positive manner with vendors, employees from all functional areasand the rest of the IT staff.
oContinuallylearn our internal systems and procedures to increase ability to handle issuesindependently.
oOrganizeand maintain organization in server rooms and IT office work area.
oDocumentproblems encountered, and resolutions implemented.
oKeepconfidential information disclosed in the performance of duties appropriatelysecure.

Qualifications:
oProficientin administering Windows environments (Server 2012, 2016, 2019; Windows 10).
oProficientin VMware, VSphere server administration and shared applications
oProficientin network routing and management
oFamiliaritywith the application of Microsoft Licensing.
oAbilityto research problems and develop proposed resolutions.
oAbilityto maintain good vendor relations.
oAbilityto work as an integral member of the IT Team, stepping in to assist in whateverduties are needed.
oAbilityto maintain a positive attitude, even during occasional heavy fire fighting.
oAbilityto work with minimal supervision.
oPhysicalability to lift, carry and transport servers and network equipment.
oAbilityto participate in off-hours on-call rotation with other IT team members.
